Also there is a new Net::Akismet class in the CPAN Perl repository.

Two Million

I promise we won’t blog every time we block a million spam, but it is interesting to note it took us about two months to block the first million spam, and it took us about 20 days to double that.

So the latest in comment spam is the phrase “v7ndotcom elursrebmem” which apparently some sort of new SEO contest. Apparently the contest has no rules against black hat techniques, so lots of people have decided to try and spam their way to the top.
