Markus from phpMix.org has put together a really cool Akismet module for Drupal, which is a very flexible content management system. I’ve added it to our development page. If you’re dealing with big communities of submitted content, Drupal + Akismet might be a good bet for you.

…and maybe that encourages more users to join the Akismet road, or even more developers to create modules/plugins for other applications. The more we are, the worst for spammers, I hope!
Since I published the release announcement, I noticed a couple of spambots coming to my site. Of course, akismet was there and it’s working like a charm.
I’m wondering how many time can a spammer survive. Even if they use proxies or whatever, they tend to advertise a single site (I guess), so that would be easy to lock, by contacting the ISP or Hosting provider… anyway…
