Kristof Coomans (who has the shortest email address I’ve ever seen, 8 characters) wrote in to tell us that there is now an Akismet plugin for the EZ Publish content management system.

There´s some kind of a rule that says:
“If you don´t understand it, you probably don´t need it.”
So, I think I just don´t need this plugin.

That eight characters include domain and @ sign too ? I always thought rms at gnu dot org was the shortest email address ..

It was 8 characters including the @ sign, period, and domain name. The way I counted rms would be 11 characters.

That’s not the shortest email address. The owner of my ISP (aaisp.net) has a 6 character email address (including the @ and .)
Obviously I’m not going to post the actual email address but it is of the form a@b.cc and yes, it is valid.
BTW, akismet has got to be one of the best plug-ins around.
