The Guardian on Akismet

The Guardian’s Michael Pollitt says some kind words about Akismet in today’s Technology section, as he notes that Comment spammers never take a holiday.
Mullenweg publishes a graph on Akismet.com which shows comments being exceeded by daily spam peaks of more than 25m. Checking out the spam blocked counter on my blog is satisfying, showing that the spammers are going nowhere fast.
As an experiment, I turned off my spam protection to watch the spam-a-minute flow.

Well, I totally agree that your Akismet is a great tool. Actually it helps us in more ways than you know. Sometimes, you don’t need to fight physical battles to be a hero. Giving out effective solutions to everyday mundane problems also makes one a GREAT and appreciated hero!

Well, I have to agree with Michael that your Akismet is one great addition. Sometimes, you don’t have to go to war to be a hero. The real heroes are those who help people solve daily problems and give out effective solutions that enhamces the quality of life.
